Strayer Success Coach Renee Gibson

With the Success Project, we at Strayer University wanted to challenge preconceived notions and inspire change. We wanted people to think about what success means to them, and live by that definition to achieve everything they’ve ever wanted. Helping us spread our vision of success are the Success Coaches, an elite team we have created to guide our students down the path of success, supporting them all the way to the finish line.
Meet Renee Gibson, former admissions officer and current Strayer University Success Coach.

“What I would say to any student who is on the fence about returning to school is to put your mind to it and you can do anything.”

Renee Gibson has always had a passion for writing. She was the editor of her high school newspaper and went on to study journalism and new media at Towson University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. Renee has worked at Strayer University as an admissions officer and now, a Success Coach. She continues to write through her entertainment blog where, in addition to covering events and interviewing musical artists, she gets a chance to inspire others with her “Mid-Week Inspirations” posts.

In her own words…

(Transcript) My name is Renee Gibson, I’m a Strayer University Success Coach. The difference between a Strayer University Success Coach and an advisor is that we actually spend the time from start to finish of a student’s career at Strayer University helping them figure out exactly what their niche is—whether it be what career they want to get into, what programs best interest them. We help them from start to finish in every aspect of their academic career. What I would say to any student who is on the fence about returning to school is to put your mind to it, and you can do anything.
